Rohtak’s PGIMS OPD Overhauls Medicine Policy: A Month’s Supply for Patients

PGIMS, Rohtak, has announced a significant change to its outpatient department (OPD) medicine distribution, bringing much-needed relief to thousands of patients. Effective immediately, patients will now receive a full 30-day supply of prescribed medications.

Previously, patients received only a 3-4 day supply, forcing frequent return visits and adding to their burden, especially those from far-flung areas.

This policy shift aims to improve patient convenience and reduce the administrative load on the hospital. The new system is expected to ease the strain on patients’ time and resources.

The move is a welcome step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility at PGIMS, a crucial institution serving a vast population across Haryana and beyond. The long-term impact on patient adherence to medication regimens will be closely monitored.
