Teams from the Yamunanagar district administration conducted a late-night vehicle check on April 20, 2025. The operation targeted illegal mining activities, the transportation of illegally mined minerals, and overloaded vehicles.

A total of 1,893 vehicles were inspected during the drive. One vehicle was impounded for violating the regulations.

The impounded vehicle was fined Rs 4.26 lakh. This significant fine underscores the administration’s commitment to curbing illegal mining.

The district administration asserted its continued vigilance against illegal mining practices.
