Kangra Snubbed: Sharma Accuses Himachal Govt of Development Bias
Dharamsala MLA Sudhir Sharma today accused the Himachal Pradesh government of neglecting Kangra district in its development agenda. Addressing a press conference, he highlighted the disparity, stating that Kangra, the state’s largest district, is suffering from severe governmental apathy.
Sharma pointed to the significant delay in the establishment of the Central University campus in Kangra as a prime example of this neglect. He argued that this delay is detrimental to the educational aspirations of the region’s youth.
The MLA further detailed several other instances of alleged discrimination, citing specific infrastructural projects and resource allocation imbalances. He demanded immediate intervention and a fair distribution of resources to address Kangra’s development needs.
This accusation throws a spotlight on the equitable distribution of resources across Himachal Pradesh. The upcoming assembly elections will likely see this issue feature prominently in the political discourse, impacting voter decisions in the crucial Kangra region.
