Lal PathLabs Ousted: Crore-Rupee Rent Default Leads to Eviction

Dr Lal PathLabs, a prominent name in Indian diagnostics, has been evicted from its Sector 11-D premises in Gurgaon. The eviction follows a court order issued on July 4, 2025.

The property owners initiated legal action after the lab failed to settle outstanding dues exceeding Rs 1.50 crore. This substantial rent arrears accumulated since June 2024.

Despite prior notices and court directives to vacate, Lal PathLabs remained in the premises. The July 4th order finally enforced the property’s handover to its rightful owners.

This incident highlights the significant financial pressures faced even by established players in the healthcare sector. The impact on patients relying on this particular lab location remains to be seen, raising concerns about access to crucial diagnostic services.
