High Court’s Mediation Push: Faster Justice for Punjab, Haryana
The Punjab and Haryana High Court is launching a significant mediation initiative to tackle its burgeoning case backlog. This move aims to provide faster and more affordable dispute resolution for citizens.
The campaign officially begins on July 8, 2025. The court will carefully select appropriate cases, particularly those involving service-related disputes, for mediation.
Litigants will have the convenience of choosing between physical, virtual, or hybrid mediation sessions. Those interested in participating can submit their cases for consideration until July 19, 2025.
This innovative approach promises a much-needed boost to the efficiency of the judicial system in Punjab and Haryana. The success of this initiative could serve as a model for other overburdened High Courts across the nation, offering a pathway to quicker justice and reduced litigation costs for ordinary citizens.
