Delhi Braces for Kanwar Yatra: MCD, Govt on High Alert
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Delhi government are fully geared up for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, commencing July 11th, 2025. Extensive preparations are underway to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage for the lakhs of devotees expected.
A comprehensive plan includes the deployment of mobile toilets at key locations along the yatra routes. Health camps will be set up to provide immediate medical assistance, while intensive cleanliness drives and anti-disease spraying are being undertaken.
To maintain hygiene and religious sensitivities, the MCD has also announced the temporary closure of meat shops along the designated routes during the yatra period. Devotees will arrive from various points across the state and beyond.
The authorities are leaving no stone unturned to manage the expected large influx of pilgrims. This proactive approach is crucial not only for the religious sentiments involved but also for maintaining public health and order within the city during this significant religious event. The success of these preparations will be vital in ensuring a peaceful and memorable Kanwar Yatra for all.
