Karnal Smart City Gets Two-Year Extension: Ambitious Projects to Continue
The deadline for the Karnal Smart City project has been extended by two years, to March 31, 2027. This extension will allow for the completion of ongoing projects and the potential inclusion of new initiatives.
Of the 120 projects envisioned under the Smart City plan, 90 have already been completed. Another 20 are currently underway. The remaining projects are in various stages of tendering.
The total project cost remains at Rs 929.77 crore, with the central and state governments sharing the financial burden equally. This significant investment underscores the commitment to transforming Karnal into a modern, technologically advanced city.
