Big Charas Bust in Himachal: Two Arrested, 2.84 Kg Seized

Nurpur police have dealt a significant blow to a drug smuggling network operating between Kullu and Kangra districts. Two individuals were apprehended on July 9, 2025, following a successful operation.

A police raid resulted in the seizure of 2.84 kg of charas from their vehicle. Investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of the operation and identify other potential accomplices.

This arrest highlights the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region. With 41 NDPS Act cases registered and 72 arrests made already this year, the police are clearly stepping up their efforts.

The persistent flow of narcotics into Himachal Pradesh poses a serious threat to the state’s youth. This latest seizure underscores the urgent need for strengthened anti-drug measures and community awareness programs to combat this growing menace.
