Delhi is set to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with a grand two-day event at the historic Red Fort, beginning July 9, 2025. The commemoration will include a captivating light and sound show, soulful Kirtan performances, and insightful exhibitions showcasing the Guru’s life and teachings.

A unique addition to the tribute is a newly planted Miyawaki forest, serving as a living memorial to the tenth Sikh Guru’s unwavering courage and sacrifice. This green initiative adds a poignant environmental dimension to the commemoration.

Adding to the broader educational impact, Delhi University has launched a new undergraduate course focusing on Sikh martyrdom, offering students a deeper understanding of this pivotal chapter in Indian history. The Delhi government also plans to integrate Guru Tegh Bahadur’s inspiring legacy into the school curriculum.
