A Rajasthan Roadways bus met with a tragic accident on the Hanumangarh highway near Nagrana village on July 9, 2025. The bus, en route from Hanumangarh to Chandigarh, collided with a stationary truck.

The accident occurred when the bus driver attempted a risky overtaking manoeuvre. This reckless act resulted in devastating consequences.

Four passengers lost their lives in the collision, while seventeen others sustained injuries of varying severity.

The injured were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident to ascertain the exact cause and to determine any negligence.

This tragic accident underscores the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and improved driver training to prevent such devastating incidents on our highways. The loss of life and the suffering of the injured serve as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety.
