Urea Supply Bolsters Yamunanagar Farmers Ahead of Paddy Season
Yamunanagar district has received a substantial boost to its agricultural sector with the arrival of 95,000 bags of subsidized urea via railway. This crucial shipment ensures adequate fertiliser supply for the upcoming paddy planting season.
The allocation is divided between Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) and private dealers, with 50,000 bags earmarked for PACS and 45,000 for private dealers.
This timely delivery addresses the heightened demand anticipated due to the upcoming paddy cultivation, expected to commence in June and continue through July’s monsoon season.
The Agriculture Department is closely monitoring the distribution process to ensure smooth and equitable access for all farmers. They have appealed for calm, urging farmers to avoid panic buying and assuring sufficient supplies are available.
This proactive measure by the authorities is vital for ensuring a successful paddy harvest, contributing significantly to the district’s agricultural output and the livelihoods of its farming community. The timely urea supply underscores the government’s commitment to supporting farmers during crucial agricultural cycles.
