Chandigarh Cops Unleash ‘Operation Seal’, Clamp Down on Crime
Chandigarh Police launched a major overnight operation, codenamed “Operation Seal”, on July 10, 2025, to bolster law and order across the city. A massive deployment of resources was undertaken.
Over 320 police officers, supported by 50 PCR vehicles, were strategically positioned at 80 checkpoints throughout the city. The operation focused on intensive vehicle and pedestrian checks.
The extensive checks resulted in 23 challans being issued for various traffic and other violations. Four vehicles were also impounded for serious offences.
The operation aimed to deter potential criminal activities and reassure citizens of the police’s commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment. The success of “Operation Seal” underlines the police’s proactive approach to crime prevention in Chandigarh. This robust action is expected to serve as a strong deterrent against future unlawful activities.
