Dynamite Haul Near Himachal Border: Three Arrested
Uttarakhand Police made a significant seizure of 125 kg of illegal dynamite, detonators, and related explosive materials on Friday, July 11, 2025. The discovery was made during a routine vehicle check near the Himachal Pradesh border, ahead of upcoming elections.
The explosives were found concealed inside an Alto car. Three individuals, all residents of Himachal Pradesh, were apprehended at the scene.
The trio has been charged under the Explosives Act for transporting the explosives without the necessary permits and documentation. Police investigations are underway to ascertain the origin of the explosives and their intended use.
