O’Brien, 9 Other TMC Leaders Cleared in EC Protest Case

A Delhi court on Thursday discharged ten Trinamool Congress leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien, in a case related to a protest outside the Election Commission of India’s office.

The leaders were accused of unlawful assembly and violating prohibitory orders during the demonstration.

The court, however, found the charges unsubstantiated and discharged all ten accused. The case is now closed unless an appeal is filed.
