Rao Launches Free Eye Care Program, Upgrades Maharaja Agrasen Medical College

Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao inaugurated the newly renovated Maharaja Agrasen Medical College building on July 10, 2025. The event marked a significant step forward for the institution.

The Minister also announced the launch of “Ujjwal Drishti Haryana Abhiyan,” a free eyeglasses and vision correction program, commencing in Hisar. This initiative aims to address a critical healthcare need in the region.

A substantial grant of Rs 21 lakh was allocated towards further development and improvement of the medical college’s infrastructure and facilities. This funding will bolster the college’s capacity.

The initiative is expected to significantly improve access to quality eye care for the people of Hisar and surrounding areas, highlighting the government’s commitment to public health and accessible healthcare services. The timely allocation of funds underscores the government’s focus on strengthening medical education and infrastructure in Haryana.
