Rural Facelift: DC Singh Launches Mega Development Project
Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh launched an ambitious rural development initiative on July 10, 2025. The project encompasses upgrades to ten key facilities across six large villages in the district.
The focus is on improving schools, sanitation through upgraded sewage systems, and creating better sports and recreational facilities. Digital libraries are also a key component of this plan.
The DC has stressed the importance of timely completion and robust long-term maintenance plans for all upgraded facilities. This will ensure the sustainability of the project’s positive impact.
The initiative is a significant step towards bridging the urban-rural divide and promises to enhance the quality of life for villagers. Its success will serve as a model for other rural development projects across the state, demonstrating the importance of holistic community development.
