Ambala Hammer Murder: Life Imprisonment for Krishan

A local court in Ambala delivered a life sentence to Krishan on July 11, 2025, for the brutal murder of Memo Devi in 2022. The conviction stems from a long-standing neighbourly dispute.

The prosecution successfully argued that Krishan used a hammer to fatally assault Devi following an argument over overhanging eaves from his house. Devi’s son filed the complaint, triggering the investigation.

Krishan was found guilty under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and has been ordered to pay a fine of Rs 20,000. The judgement brings closure to a tragic case that shocked the Ambala community.
