Karnal MC Cracks Down: 15 Illegal Dairies Face Closure

The Karnal Municipal Corporation (MC) is set to seal 15 unauthorized dairies operating within city limits. This decisive action follows repeated notices to relocate to the designated Pingli site.

Dairy owners have been given until July 23, 2025, to apply for plots at the Pingli site. Failure to comply will result in the sealing of their premises.

The MC’s action also targets those who have already been allotted plots at Pingli but haven’t commenced construction or have defaulted on payments.

This crackdown aims to address long-standing hygiene and sanitation concerns plaguing the city, stemming from the unregulated operation of these dairies. The move is expected to significantly improve the overall quality of life for Karnal residents.
