Ambala Airport: Vij Pushes for Cargo Terminal Boost

Haryana Minister Anil Vij has proposed the development of a dedicated cargo terminal adjacent to the upcoming domestic airport near Ambala Cantonment. In a letter to the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, Mr. Vij highlighted the significant economic advantages this would bring to the region.

The Minister emphasized the availability of suitable land for the project, making it a feasible and timely addition to the airport infrastructure. He also stressed the need for immediate recruitment of operational staff for the airport itself.

The Ambala airport is slated to open its doors to the public after the monsoon season concludes. The addition of a cargo terminal would significantly enhance its operational capabilities and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
