Crime on rise after AAP came to power: Badal

Badal Blames AAP for Abohar Industrialist’s Murder, Demands Action

Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday visited the bereaved family of slain businessman Sanjay Verma in Abohar. He expressed his deepest condolences and sharply criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government for the escalating crime rate in Punjab.

Badal alleged that the state’s ruling party is creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, forcing industrialists to flee the state due to rampant extortion. He highlighted the Verma murder as a prime example of this alarming trend.

The Akali Dal leader also met with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to voice his serious concerns regarding the security situation in Abohar and demanded immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

This incident underscores the growing anxieties within Punjab’s business community. The state’s economic future hinges on ensuring the safety and security of its industrialists, and the government’s response will be crucial in restoring investor confidence.
