Himachal Floods: Rs 50 Lakh for Each Constituency, Minister Vows Speedy Road Revival
Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Saturday announced a significant financial allocation for the restoration of roads damaged by recent devastating floods. Each assembly segment will receive Rs 50 lakh for immediate repair work.
Areas severely impacted will receive an enhanced allocation of Rs 2 crore to expedite restoration efforts. This targeted approach aims to swiftly restore vital road connectivity across the state.
The Minister further stated his intention to seek substantial financial assistance from the central government to supplement the state’s efforts. This additional funding will be crucial for large-scale reconstruction projects.
The focus, he emphasized, remains on restoring vital lifelines and providing much-needed support to families affected by the unprecedented floods. This includes not only infrastructure rebuilding but also aid for those who lost their homes and livelihoods.
The timely allocation and the Minister’s proactive approach towards securing central aid offer a glimmer of hope for Himachal Pradesh, as it embarks on the long road to recovery after the catastrophic floods of July 2025. The successful implementation of this plan will directly impact the lives of thousands affected by the disaster.
