Khattar Sounds Alarm on Haryana’s Social Fabric: Blames Western Influence, Weak Families
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed deep concern Saturday over recent incidents in the state, urging a thorough introspection into changing societal values. He highlighted a perceived weakening of traditional family structures as a contributing factor.
The Chief Minister attributed this societal shift, in part, to the growing influence of Western culture. He stressed the need for a return to traditional values to strengthen the social fabric of Haryana.
Beyond social issues, Khattar also touched upon the long-standing Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal dispute, a contentious issue with neighbouring states. He briefly commented on the new Congress leadership and his recent visit to Karnal.
In a statement, he reiterated his commitment to serving the party, stating he is open to any role assigned to him by the BJP leadership. His remarks underscore the growing unease over social cohesion in the state and the need for proactive measures. This comes at a crucial time for Haryana, as it faces significant political and social challenges ahead.
