Green Thumbs at CDLU: Sawan Fest Seeds Environmental Change
Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) embraced the spirit of Sawan with a unique plantation and cleanliness drive on July 28, 2025. Faculty, research scholars, and students actively participated in the initiative.
The ambitious goal? To plant 3,000 saplings across the campus, transforming it into a greener haven. This wasn’t just a symbolic gesture; it marked a commitment to environmental protection.
Beyond planting, the drive focused on waste management. The university aims to achieve a zero-waste campus status. Each department has been assigned responsibility for the upkeep of its adopted saplings.
This initiative by CDLU sets a commendable example for other educational institutions. It underscores the crucial role universities can play in fostering environmental consciousness among students and the wider community, paving the way for a sustainable future.
