Supreme Court to Scrutinise Bihar Voter List Revision

The Supreme Court has warned of intervention if widespread voter exclusion emerges during Bihar’s upcoming electoral roll revision. The Court is currently hearing petitions challenging the special revision process, slated to commence on August 1, 2025.

The apex court has stressed the importance of ensuring mass voter inclusion and will meticulously examine all objections raised against the revision.

The Election Commission will accept both Aadhaar and existing voter IDs as proof of identity, but applicants will be required to furnish supporting documentation.
