NEP 2020: Five Years of Digital Learning & Global Reach
The Ministry of Education on July 29, 2025, unveiled a series of digital initiatives commemorating the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). These initiatives aim to revolutionize access to quality education across the nation.
Central to the announcements were three key digital platforms: TARA, a mobile application designed for comprehensive reading assessment; a dedicated career guidance app to assist students in making informed career choices; and Bhasha Sagar, a language learning platform promoting multilingualism.
The celebrations also highlighted significant curriculum reforms implemented at premier institutions like IIT BHU and IIT Delhi. These institutions have already integrated the NEP 2020 framework into their academic programs.
Furthermore, the Ministry announced the approval of foreign universities to establish campuses within India. This move is expected to significantly enhance the country’s higher education landscape and attract global talent.
This strategic push towards digital learning and international collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to achieving the ambitious goals set forth by NEP 2020. The success of these initiatives will be crucial in shaping the future of Indian education and its global competitiveness in the years to come.
