Gun Battle in Gurugram: Trio’s Robbery Plot Foiled, One Injured

Gurugram Police swiftly apprehended three men allegedly plotting a major robbery late on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. The operation, however, took a dramatic turn.

During a pre-dawn raid, one suspect opened fire on the police team, sparking an intense exchange of gunfire.

One of the suspects sustained injuries in the crossfire and is receiving medical treatment under police custody. The other two are currently being interrogated.

Police recovered a pistol, several live cartridges, a wooden stick believed to be used as a weapon, and a motorcycle suspected to be used in the planned robbery.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered, and investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of the gang’s criminal activities and potential targets. The incident highlights the growing need for proactive policing and robust security measures in the city.
