Hamirpur Drug Bust: Couple Held, Narcotics & Cash Seized

Hamirpur police made a significant drug bust on July 29, 2025, arresting a couple following a tip-off. The raid yielded a substantial quantity of narcotics.

Police seized 600 grams of charas, 74 grams of chitta, and 5 grams of opium. Over Rs 2.19 lakh in cash was also recovered from the couple’s possession.

In a separate operation near Bhota town, police apprehended another individual with 15 grams of narcotics. This arrest is expected to lead to further investigations into a potential drug supply network.

The arrests highlight the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region. Authorities are now focusing on dismantling the wider network behind these seizures, a crucial step towards curbing the drug menace affecting the youth.
