Murmu Receives Credentials from Four New Envoys

President Droupadi Murmu formally accepted credentials from four new ambassadors and high commissioners at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. The ceremony marked the commencement of their diplomatic assignments in India.

Francisco Manuel Compres Hernandez presented his credentials representing the Dominican Republic. His appointment signifies a strengthening of ties between the two nations.

Karlito Nunes, the new High Commissioner of Timor-Leste, also presented his credentials. This appointment underscores the growing relationship between India and Timor-Leste.

Sri Lanka’s new High Commissioner, Pradeepa Mahishini Colonne, was also present. Her appointment comes at a crucial juncture in the bilateral relationship.

Finally, Guy Rodrigue Dikayi, the new ambassador of Gabon, completed the group. His presence highlights the ongoing diplomatic engagement between India and Gabon.
