Rs 100 Crore HSVP Scam: Ex-MLA’s Bail Rejected, Property Trail Uncovered

Former Haryana MLA Ramniwas Surjakhera’s bail plea was rejected by a court on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in connection with a massive Rs 100 crore embezzlement case involving the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).

The alleged scam involves fraudulent opening of bank accounts and misappropriation of funds meant for HSVP beneficiaries. Surjakhera and his associates allegedly diverted the money into their personal accounts.

Investigations revealed that Surjakhera’s associate, Bansal, used a significant portion of the embezzled funds to acquire properties across the state. Authorities are currently tracing these assets.

The rejection of Surjakhera’s bail application underscores the seriousness of the charges against him.
