Tiger Reserves Get Green Boost: Yadav Launches Mega Plantation Drive
Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav on July 29, 2025, launched a massive afforestation initiative across India’s 58 tiger reserves. The ambitious project aims to plant over one lakh saplings, significantly enhancing tiger habitats.
Simultaneously, Yadav unveiled a comprehensive “Plastic-Free Tiger Reserves” campaign. This crucial step aims to mitigate the devastating impact of plastic pollution on these vital ecosystems.
The event also witnessed the induction of 24 nations into the International Big Cat Alliance, strengthening global collaborative efforts for wildlife conservation.
Further bolstering conservation efforts, the Minister released several key publications focusing on various aspects of wildlife protection and management.
