UN Report Nails LeT Link to J&K Attack, Bolsters India’s Stand
A damning United Nations report has directly linked The Resistance Front (TRF), responsible for the Pahalgam attack, to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). This is the first such mention of LeT’s involvement by the UN since 2019.
The report significantly strengthens India’s long-standing accusations of Pakistan’s role in sponsoring cross-border terrorism. New Delhi has consistently highlighted the threat posed by Pakistan-backed terror groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan’s previous attempts to downplay or even remove references to the TRF in UN reports have been effectively countered by this latest evidence.
This development is expected to bolster India’s diplomatic efforts on the international stage, further isolating Pakistan and reinforcing the global consensus against cross-border terrorism. The report’s findings carry significant implications for future counter-terrorism strategies and international pressure on Pakistan.
