Western Sydney University (WSU) has received the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) approval to set up its first foreign campus in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This marks a significant step in expanding higher education options in India.

The campus, commencing operations in August 2026, will initially offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Business, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.

Further expansion is planned, with Data Science and Science programs slated for future inclusion. The university also intends to integrate an agricultural focus into its curriculum.

This initiative aims to equip the next generation with globally relevant skills, aligning with India’s developmental priorities. The move is expected to boost skill development and attract foreign investment in the education sector.
