Chip Revolution: Govt Backs 23 Homegrown Designs

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has given a major boost to India’s semiconductor ambitions. On July 31, 2025, it announced financial backing for 23 chip design projects under its Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme.

This significant investment aims to nurture homegrown talent and foster innovation in the crucial chip design sector. The selected projects represent a diverse range of applications, reflecting the government’s commitment to a broad-based technological advancement.
