Heavy rainfall lashed Salooni tehsil in Chamba district on July 31, 2025, triggering landslides and widespread damage. A house in Bhedwah village was rendered unsafe, prompting the immediate evacuation of its resident family.
Thankfully, no casualties were reported. However, a cattleshed in Mohan village collapsed under the pressure of the downpour. Local authorities confirmed that the livestock were safely evacuated.
The administration has received requests for urgent assistance from affected villagers. These requests include financial compensation for property damage and the provision of relief material.
