Punjab & Chandigarh Post Offices Shut Down for Digital Upgrade
All post offices in Chandigarh and Punjab will remain closed to the public on August 2nd and 3rd. This temporary closure is to facilitate the implementation of a new digital platform, the Automated Postal Tracking (APT) system.
The APT system aims to significantly improve services and enhance the overall customer experience at post offices across the region. The department expects a smoother, more efficient process for postal transactions after the upgrade.
The upgraded system is scheduled to go live on August 4th. Customers are advised to plan their postal transactions accordingly.
This digital overhaul reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing postal services and leveraging technology for better public service delivery. The success of this implementation will be crucial in shaping future digital initiatives across the national postal network.
