Andhra Pradesh Farmers Receive Rs 7,000 Aid Boost; Naidu Highlights Wider Welfare Plans
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu announced the disbursement of Rs 7,000 to 47 lakh farmers under the Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme. This payment forms a significant part of the state government’s ambitious Rs 20,000 annual financial assistance plan for farmers.
The state government’s contribution stands at Rs 5,000 per farmer, supplemented by Rs 2,000 from the central government’s PM-Kisan scheme. This direct financial aid is expected to significantly benefit a large section of the state’s farming community.
Beyond the financial aid, CM Naidu also reiterated other key welfare promises. These include the provision of free bus travel for specific groups and the long-term project of interlinking rivers in the state.
The timely disbursement of funds and the emphasis on wider welfare initiatives highlight the state government’s commitment to agricultural development and the overall well-being of its citizens. This initiative’s success will be crucial in bolstering agricultural productivity and improving rural livelihoods in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the face of ongoing economic challenges.
