Baloch Activists Launch Research Hub to Highlight Human Rights Abuses
A new research centre dedicated to highlighting human rights violations against the Baloch people in Iran and Pakistan was launched in May 2025. This initiative, the Baloch Advocacy and Studies Center, aims to use research-based advocacy to bring attention to the plight of the Baloch community.
Speaking to ANI after a recent seminar, the centre’s leader, Mr. Baloch, explained the organisation’s commitment to a research-driven approach. The seminar itself served as a practical demonstration of this commitment, showcasing the centre’s work.
The centre’s focus on meticulous research is intended to provide credible evidence to support its advocacy efforts. This approach is crucial for influencing policy and generating international awareness.
The launch of the Baloch Advocacy and Studies Center marks a significant step in amplifying the voices of the Baloch people and demanding accountability for human rights abuses. Its research-based approach promises to be instrumental in achieving lasting positive change for the community. The long-term impact on international human rights discourse remains to be seen, but the initiative offers a beacon of hope for justice.
