Punjab Police Net ₹7 Crore in Drug Bust: Mother’s Assets Frozen
Punjab Police have seized assets worth ₹70,70,150 from Jagiro, an alleged drug trafficker, in Goraya. The operation, conducted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, followed approval from Delhi authorities.
The seized assets are believed to be proceeds of drug trafficking activities allegedly orchestrated by Jagiro’s son, Vijay Kumar. Kumar is currently facing multiple NDPS cases.
The police action involves the freezing of the assets, effectively preventing their transfer or disposal. This significant seizure is a major blow to the drug trade network.
This decisive action by Punjab Police highlights the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in the state. The freezing of assets sends a strong message, deterring others involved in similar criminal activities and potentially impacting the funding of future illicit operations.
