Sirsa Schools for Disabled Get Govt. Overhaul: Sharma Orders Swift Action
Deputy Commissioner Sharma has issued a series of directives aimed at significantly improving the conditions at two Sirsa schools catering to disabled children. The order, issued on August 1, 2025, comes under the purview of the Haryana government’s newly assumed responsibility for the schools.
Key improvements mandated include a comprehensive re-enrolment drive to ensure all eligible children are attending. A thorough survey will also be undertaken to assess the specific needs of the students and the facilities.
The DC has further instructed the immediate installation of solar power systems at both schools, aiming for greater energy independence and cost-effectiveness. Crucially, he has also ordered the facilitation of Unique Identification (UID) issuance for all students.
To promote holistic development, regular health camps and vocational training programs are planned for the students. These initiatives are designed to equip them with essential life skills and improve their overall well-being.
This decisive intervention highlights the Haryana government’s commitment to inclusive education and the welfare of disabled children. The successful implementation of these directives will significantly impact the lives of these students and set a precedent for similar improvements across the state.
