Taliban’s Grip: Afghanistan a Breeding Ground for Terror, Warns US Report
The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has issued a stark warning, highlighting Afghanistan’s continued role as a haven for terrorist groups. Despite the 2020 Doha Agreement, ISIS-K, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Al-Qaeda remain active within the country.
The report points a finger at the Taliban’s ambivalent stance towards these militant groups. Their support, either tacit or overt, has fuelled insecurity and undermined regional stability.
