Haryana Farmers Reap Rich Harvest: ₹353 Crore PM-Kisan Bounty
Haryana’s Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare announced a significant financial boost for its farming community. A sum of ₹353 crore was directly transferred to 16.77 lakh farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.
This latest disbursement brings the total amount disbursed to farmers through 19 installments to a staggering ₹6,563.67 crore. The state government has actively promoted several farmer welfare programs.
Beyond PM-Kisan, Haryana has implemented the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) to mitigate crop insurance risks. Initiatives promoting natural farming methods are also underway, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices.
The “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal has streamlined data collection and improved transparency in farm-related information. Additional bonuses and incentives have further supplemented farmers’ income.
This significant financial injection, coupled with supportive government initiatives, will hopefully bolster agricultural productivity and uplift the socio-economic conditions of Haryana’s farming community, ensuring food security for the state.
