Punjab BJP leader Ashwani Sharma has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of targeting realtor Ranjit Singh Gill for his recent switch to the BJP. Sharma alleges this action is a blatant display of political vendetta.
He claims the AAP government, controlled by its Delhi leadership, is attempting to seize Mr Gill’s farmland. This, Sharma contends, is a pattern of harassment against those who oppose the ruling party.
Sharma further criticised the AAP’s failure to fulfill its electoral promises, specifically the promised monthly stipend for women. He described this as a betrayal of the people’s trust.
The BJP leader announced plans for statewide protests against the AAP government’s alleged authoritarian tactics and unfulfilled promises. This escalation signals a significant challenge to the ruling party’s authority in Punjab.
