Monsoon Mayhem: Ellenabad Farmers Demand Hefty Crop Loss Compensation

Sirsa district has launched a special survey to assess crop damage following torrential rains in Ellenabad. The survey will determine the compensation payable to affected farmers.

MLA Abhay Singh Chautala has demanded a substantial Rs 60,000 per acre compensation for the losses suffered. He sharply criticized the state government’s alleged negligence in maintaining drainage systems, contributing to the widespread flooding.

Independent MLA, Ranjit Singh Beniwal, has also advocated for farmer relief, suggesting a compensation of Rs 30,000-35,000 per acre.
