Pothole Peril: Kiratpur-Nangal Highway a Death Trap?

The Kiratpur Sahib to Nangal highway, once a smooth toll road, is now riddled with dangerous potholes, posing a significant threat to commuters. Accidents are on the rise due to the severely damaged road surface.

Funds for repairs have been allocated, residents confirm. However, they are urging immediate, temporary fixes to mitigate the immediate danger. The lengthy tendering process for a full-scale repair is causing unacceptable delays.

The highway is now under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). A proposal to widen the road is currently under consideration, but offers no immediate solution to the pressing pothole problem.
