Tortured in jail to implicate Adityanath, Bhagwat: Malegaon blast accused

Malegaon Blast Acquittal: Upadhyay Alleges UPA-Driven Torture, Names Yogi, Bhagwat

Ramesh Upadhyay, acquitted in the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case on August 3, 2025, has levelled serious allegations of custodial torture. He claims he was coerced into falsely implicating prominent figures, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Upadhyay alleges the investigation was deliberately skewed, influenced by political pressure emanating from the then UPA government. He asserts this pressure led to his wrongful imprisonment.

The accused maintains his innocence throughout the 17-year-long legal battle. He sees his acquittal as a vindication, finally achieving justice.

This explosive claim casts a long shadow over the Malegaon blast case, raising serious questions about the integrity of the investigation and the potential for political manipulation within the justice system. The allegations demand a thorough and impartial inquiry to restore public faith in the rule of law.
