Vij Cracks Down on Ambala’s Illegal Colonies: Ring Road Spurs Action

Haryana’s Urban Local Bodies Minister, Anil Vij, has launched a decisive crackdown on the burgeoning problem of illegal colonies in Ambala. The move comes in the wake of the construction of a new ring road, which has fuelled a surge in unauthorized developments.

Vij has instructed the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to conduct a comprehensive survey of land along the new ring road. The aim is to identify suitable areas for the development of new, planned sectors.

Simultaneously, the Minister has demanded stringent action against existing illegal colonies. He has directed authorities to halt any further development in these unauthorized areas.

This proactive approach by Minister Vij is crucial. The unchecked growth of illegal colonies poses significant risks, including infrastructure challenges, safety concerns, and environmental degradation. His intervention aims to prevent a future crisis in Ambala’s urban planning.
