Green Cafés Bloom on Yamuna Banks: Paonta Sahib Gets Eco-Boost
A new eco-friendly café, Café Kalindi, has opened its doors at the Yamuna Riverfront Nature Park in Paonta Sahib. This brings the total number of cafes at the park to three.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Forest Department, aims to improve accessibility for visitors and generate employment opportunities for locals.
The larger goal is to transform forest areas into valuable community assets, driving tourism growth. Seven nature parks are undergoing eco-restoration as part of this ambitious project.
This development comes as the state government actively promotes eco-tourism, creating a win-win situation for both nature conservation and economic upliftment. The success of this model in Paonta Sahib could inspire similar initiatives across the state, potentially revitalising other underutilised natural spaces.
