Panchkula Goes Solar: Powering Communities, Saving Crores

Panchkula Municipal Corporation launched a significant initiative on August 4, 2025, to install rooftop solar power systems at 20 community institutions. This ambitious project aims to drastically reduce, and ultimately eliminate, electricity bills for these facilities.

The project, costing Rs 2.4 crore, will see the installation of 600kW solar plants across various locations. Completion is anticipated within three months.
