Kapurthala Floods Recede, Relief Efforts Underway
Floodwaters have begun to recede in several areas of Kapurthala district, including Dhilwan, Bholath, and Sultanpur Lodhi. The situation, however, remains precarious for many affected families.
The district administration has undertaken a comprehensive damage assessment and is providing relief to those affected. A dedicated helpline has also been established to assist residents.
Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) are actively monitoring the situation on the ground, ensuring the timely delivery of aid and support.
Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner assured the public that the administration is fully prepared to handle any further challenges and that the situation is under control. The focus now shifts to long-term recovery and rehabilitation measures for the affected communities, particularly farmers whose livelihoods have been severely impacted by the recent deluge.
