Free Rides for Sisters: Haryana Govt Announces Raksha Bandhan Travel Bonanza

Haryana will offer free travel on all state-run buses to women and children below 15 years on Raksha Bandhan. The scheme will be valid from noon on August 8th to midnight on August 9th.

This initiative, announced on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, aims to ease travel for women and children during the festival. The state government hopes to encourage family gatherings and celebrations.

Transport Minister also addressed concerns regarding the management of private bus routes in the state. He announced a series of public meetings across the state to hear grievances and gather feedback.

These public visits, scheduled for the coming weeks, will allow citizens to directly interact with officials and raise their concerns.
